Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 9, 2026
Respi-Rate is provided by medappear s.r.o., Šlikova 301/28, 169 00 Prague 6, Czech Republic, Company ID 24144436. Questions and privacy requests may be sent to respi-rate@medappear.com.
Measurements and health-related information
Respiratory-rate measurements, dates, optional age-range settings, regularity assessments and I:E results are stored locally on your device so the app can display its measurement history and features. Respi-Rate does not send these measurement values or results to medappear or Google Analytics. You can delete saved measurements in the app, or remove all locally stored app data by deleting the app.
Usage analytics
If you choose to enable Share Usage Analytics, Respi-Rate uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand use of the app and improve it. Analytics may receive app interactions, measurement start, completion, cancellation or timeout events without measurement results, feature selections, purchase-screen and purchase-flow outcomes, app and device information, a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, and approximate location derived from the internet connection. The app does not request GPS access for analytics.
Analytics is disabled until you enable it. It is not used for personalized advertising or tracking across apps or websites. You can withdraw consent at any time under Menu → Usage Analytics. Disabling analytics stops future collection and resets the app's local analytics identifier; it does not automatically erase information already received by Google.
Purchases and trial
Apple processes Lifetime Pro purchases and the free trial through StoreKit. Respi-Rate reads verified StoreKit transactions and entitlements to determine access. Apple handles payment information. For analytics, the app may record the offered product identifier and a general purchase-flow outcome, such as success, cancellation, pending or failure. It does not send payment-card information or Apple transaction identifiers to Google Analytics.
Other local settings
The app uses UserDefaults and SwiftUI AppStorage to save preferences and operational state such as theme, enabled features, onboarding completion, review-request timing and analytics consent. These values are used for app functionality and remain on the device unless iOS removes the app's data.
Service providers
Google acts as an analytics service provider only when analytics is enabled. Google receives and processes analytics information under its applicable terms and privacy safeguards. Apple processes App Store purchases and may process related account and transaction information under Apple's privacy policy. Respi-Rate does not sell personal information and does not include third-party advertising.
How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services
Retention and deletion
Local measurements and settings remain until you delete them or delete the app. Analytics event-level data is retained for no longer than 14 months; aggregated reports may remain available for longer. You may disable future analytics collection in the app at any time. To request access to or deletion of information held by medappear, contact respi-rate@medappear.com. Because Respi-Rate has no user accounts and analytics uses a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, medappear may need additional information to determine whether a specific record can be identified.
Children, security and changes
Respi-Rate is not directed to children under 13. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the limited information processed. We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change; the effective date above identifies the current version.
